In a quick response to deal immediately with any emergency events, Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, confirmed that rapid intervention is being made to confront any suffering that the Aswani citizen may be exposed to, as an urgent and immediate solution was implemented to repair the main expulsion line of the Al-Kuror station after discovering a sudden blockage in it in a distance of 35 meters in front of Shagaret Al-Durr School in the Military Police.
Pointing out that, in parallel, rapid executive measures were taken by providing financial funds to establish the new nursery lifting station as a radical solution to completely eliminate the problem, within the urgent projects plan for the sewage system through the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, led by Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny.
Repairing a sudden blockage in the main expulsion line at Al-Koror Aswan station
The governor assigned his assistant, Major General Yasser Abdel Shafi, to fully field supervision of the repair work from the site of the event to ensure its completion in the fastest time and with the highest technical quality. Major General Yasser Abdel Shafi explained that, based on the directives of the Governor of Aswan, immediate coordination took place between the concerned authorities, most notably the Aswan Drinking Water and Sanitation Company headed by Engineer Amer Abu Halawa, and the Arab Contractors Company executing the works, where Engineer Mohamed Abdoun served as deputy. The head of the company branch follows up on the stages of reform in the field, moment by moment.
Pointing out that the repair work included implementing the replacement and renewal of the damaged part of the line, while increasing the pipe diameters from 250 mm to 315 mm to accommodate larger quantities of waste water, and to ensure future operating efficiency in a way that reduces the chances of recurring blockages or malfunctions in this vital area, and the new pipes were lowered and installed.
The Assistant Governor indicated that all precautionary measures were taken during the implementation of the work, until the repair of the line was completed, explaining that all administrative and technical procedures necessary to begin work on the new Al-Mashtal sewage lifting station have been completed to accommodate the actions of the Al-Kurur area, and work will begin on it within days to completely eliminate this problem.
