His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, deputized Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, to attend the graduation ceremony of the eleventh batch of students from the Bahrain Technical College (Bahrain Polytechnic), which was held this morning at the Bahrain National Theater.

On this occasion, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa stressed that the increasing attention given to the educational process in its various stages and fields in light of the comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, embodies the belief that investment in education is an investment in a future based on creativity and excellence, and is closely linked to… Closely aligned with national development needs.

He pointed out that building qualified national capabilities is a major pillar in enhancing productivity and raising the efficiency of the national economy by preparing a generation that is aware and proficient in the tools of knowledge and innovation, and capable of contributing to the process of progress and development, in line with the government’s directions, and achieving the goals of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 in continuing to empower the Bahraini human being, as he is the true wealth of the nation, and the focus and primary goal of development.

He stressed the importance of the technical and vocational education that students receive at Bahrain Polytechnic, as it links theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and achieves the required alignment between the outputs of educational institutions and the needs of the production and service sectors, which contributes to preparing competencies capable of integrating into the labor market and actively participating in the process of development and modernization.

He praised the college’s continuous progress in terms of institutional building and academic programs, pointing in particular to the graduation of the second batch of master’s programs, as a step that strengthens the research and professional development system and supports national capabilities in priority specializations that meet the requirements of economic growth.

He also praised the new approach adopted by the college in expanding and opening new branches in various governorates of the Kingdom, in a way that facilitates access to its educational services, increases its absorptive capacity for students, and provides the labor market with more specialized skills.

He expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Technical College (Bahrain Polytechnic), members of the Board of Trustees, and the academic and administrative bodies, for the follow-up and support they devote to the college’s progress and development programmes. At the same time, he congratulated the female and male graduates on this achievement that they are crowning today at the moment of graduation, wishing them a successful journey in the service of the nation, and also expressing his appreciation. To parents for their continued support of their children.

Then, he handed out certificates to graduates of master’s programs and academically distinguished graduates of bachelor’s programs.
