The General Directorate of Meteorology issued a high-intensity warning regarding weather fluctuations in Kuwait today, Sunday, November 9, 2025, as the weather today in Kuwait is witnessing a significant decrease in horizontal visibility due to dense fog, with expectations of a gradual improvement during the daylight hours.

Today’s weather in Kuwait is characterized by volatile weather conditions, as monitoring stations recorded a noticeable decrease in horizontal visibility, reaching less than 1,000 meters in some areas, while visibility was completely absent in other areas. Warning number one has been in effect since 23:45 on November 8, and is expected to continue until 10:45 this morning for a total duration of 11 hours. The possibility of occurrence has been confirmed with certainty.

During the daylight hours, the weather today in Kuwait is hot with partial clouds, with variable wind speeds ranging between 6 and 22 kilometers per hour. Expectations indicate that visibility will gradually improve as the daylight hours progress and the dense fog that covered various areas during the dawn and early morning hours disappears.

As for the night hours, the weather today in Kuwait turns cold with continued partial clouds and high humidity, especially in coastal areas. The wind will become variable to light to moderate northwesterly, with a speed ranging between 6 and 26 kilometers per hour, with a chance for light fog to form in some areas.

Temperatures vary significantly between different regions of Kuwait, as Al-Manaqish station recorded the highest expected maximum temperature at 32 degrees Celsius, while Mutreba station recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 10 degrees Celsius. The readings show a clear contrast between inland and coastal areas, as coastal areas tend to record more moderate temperatures compared to inland areas.

Regarding marine conditions, forecasts indicate that the sea will be lightly turbulent during both daytime and night hours, with wave heights ranging between 1 and 2 feet. According to marine stations, the expected maximum temperature at Ras Al-Barsha will reach 27 degrees Celsius with a minimum of 17 degrees, while Salmiya will record a maximum of 27 degrees and a minimum of 20 degrees, while the temperature in Al-Julai’a will reach a maximum of 26 degrees and a minimum of 16 degrees.

The waves at all marine stations move toward the southeast, reaching a height of up to two feet. As for the times of tides and tides in Shuwaikh Port, it is expected that the first tide will occur at 14:10, and the second tide at 01:14 tomorrow morning, while the first tide will occur at 08:51, and the second tide will occur at 20:17.

The General Department of Meteorology calls on citizens and residents to be careful while driving during the early morning hours due to the low level of visibility, and to adhere to traffic safety instructions and reduce speed when necessary.
