Issey Miyake and Apple unveiled their new product, the iPhone Pocket, a revolutionary accessory that combines fashion and technology in a 3D knit design inspired by the concept of a piece of cloth. The product is designed to be a stylish and practical way to carry the iPhone and everyday items in a comfortable and versatile way.
Apple launches iPhone Pocket dedicated to phones
As posted on Apple’s main platform, iPhone Pocket is scheduled to be available starting Friday, November 14, at select Apple Stores and on apple.com in France, Greater China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The new design features an open, ribbed structure that reflects the famous ISSEY MIYAKE folds, with the ability to expand to contain the phone and the user’s belongings, and also allows the phone screen to be seen through its open fabric.
It can be worn in multiple ways: in the hand, on the bag, or directly around the body, and is available in eight colors for the short strap and three colors for the long strap.

Yoshiyuki Miyamae, Design Director at Miyake Studio, said: The design of the iPhone Pocket reflects the relationship between the user and his device, and allows freedom of personal expression through its simplicity and flexibility.
While Molly Anderson, Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple, confirmed that the collaboration embodies the shared values between the two companies in celebrating craftsmanship, simplicity, and fun, adding that the new design provides an innovative and beautiful way to carry the iPhone, AirPods, and everyday items.
The iPhone Pocket is made in Japan using 3D knitting technology, and is sold at $149.95 for the short-strap version and $229.95 for the long-strap version. Apple customers will also be able to customize colors and lengths to suit their devices this upcoming holiday season.
