Counselor Taher Al-Khouly, the independent individual candidate for the Old Cairo and Manial constituencies, continues his field tours among the people of the district, as part of his electoral campaign in preparation for the 2025 House of Representatives elections, stressing that the youth file is at the top of his priorities within his electoral program, which aims to enhance job opportunities, support craftsmen, and create a stimulating economic and social environment for the people of the region.

Counselor Taher Al-Khouly: The youth of ancient Egypt are at the heart of my interest

During his numerous meetings with the people, Al-Kholy stressed that “the youth of Old Egypt and Manial are at the heart of our attention,” explaining that the next stage requires joining efforts to build a more stable future for youth, by supporting employment and vocational training initiatives and opening direct channels of communication with national production institutions.

Al-Kholy revealed an expected agreement and cooperation with Engineer Mohamed Zaki Al-Suwaidi, President of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, to provide real job opportunities for the department’s youth and craftsmen, noting that this cooperation comes within an integrated vision to link the youth of ancient Egypt to the industrial and productive labor market in the country.

Al-Khouly explained that his electoral program includes organizing local and international exhibitions for craftsmen’s products in cooperation with the relevant agencies, with the aim of opening new markets for the products of ancient Egypt and promoting the traditional crafts for which the region is famous, adding that these exhibitions will not be mere propaganda events, but rather will be a real platform to support owners of small professions and turn them into a sustainable economic resource that contributes to improving the standard of living for families.

The program includes holding an annual sports league in cooperation with youth centers to discover talents and support promising energies in football and various sports activities, emphasizing the importance of building a new generation of young people who enjoy health, belonging, and a positive spirit of competition.

The independent candidate stressed that ancient Egypt was and remains the cradle of history and civilization, and that “the best of the region must be for its youth,” calling for investing in their capabilities in building productive local projects that contribute to achieving sustainable development, adding that supporting youth is not limited to providing job opportunities only, but also includes providing the necessary training and qualifying them for the labor market according to the requirements of the times.

During his tours in the streets of Old Cairo and Manial, Al-Kholy met with dozens of citizens and craftsmen, where he listened to their demands related to services and facilities, and promised to follow up on service issues that affect the daily lives of the people, most notably improving infrastructure and developing health and educational services. He also affirmed his commitment to coordinating with state institutions to achieve these goals within the framework of effective community cooperation.

His field trips witnessed wide interaction from young people who expressed their support for his program based on “work, not promises,” appreciating his interest in providing real job opportunities and supporting traditional crafts that represent a source of livelihood for many families in the region.

Al-Khouli pointed out that his goal is not only to win the elections, but rather to serve the people of the district from a position of responsibility, stressing that parliamentary work must be the real voice of the citizen within the Council, and the representative must be a link between citizens and state institutions.

At the end of his tours, Counselor Taher Al-Khouly called on the youth of Old Egypt and Manial to actively participate in the elections, saying: “Your voice is a trust and a responsibility, and Old Egypt deserves to have its youth at the forefront of the ranks of construction and development.”
