Under the generous patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King of the country and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, Al Manar Parental Care House organized a celebration on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Home, and in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Al Mubarrah Al Khalifia and President of the Royal Rescue and Safety Foundation.
In her statement on this occasion, Her Highness Sheikha Neela bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa affirmed that caring for parents and senior citizens in the Kingdom of Bahrain represents an inherent societal responsibility and a religious and humanitarian duty, pointing out that the efforts made at Dar Al Manar to care for parents in cooperation with government agencies, civil society and the private sector, reflect the level of respect and appreciation that senior citizens deserve, and confirms their position as a basic pillar in the renaissance of society, which necessitates continued support and strengthening of its community partnerships to ensure the sustainability of this noble care.
She considered that Al-Manar House for Parental Care represents a fundamental pillar and a role model for loyalty and honor to parents of senior citizens, noting the care and integrated social and psychological environment that the home provides, and assistance in integrating senior citizens with their external surroundings by providing programs, recreational activities and various professional workshops, which also contributes to benefiting from their experiences and abilities, enabling them to practice their hobbies or learn new crafts, enhances their self-worth and maintains their effective communication with society. Which makes it a valuable contributor to comprehensive social development.
For his part, Mr. Adnan Al-Maliki, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the House, extended his deepest thanks and appreciation, on behalf of the members of the Board, the House’s employees and its employees, to Her Royal Highness, wife of the King of the Kingdom and President of the Supreme Council for Women, for Her Highness’s firm support and care for the House and for honoring it with her honorary presidency since its founding.
Al-Maliki indicated in his speech during the celebration that this support and care represent a fundamental incentive for the efforts made to serve an important segment of Bahraini society over the course of 25 years during which giving has been continuous thanks to the support of Her Royal Highness, the honorary president of the association, who contributed to the success of these efforts.
He praised the support and assistance of the permanent supporters and sponsors of the House who have spared no effort in supporting the House over the past years, and they will be honored at the ceremony in recognition of their role and contribution to enhancing the spirit of social solidarity in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the continuation of working hand in hand to preserve the successes and achievements that the House has achieved, which are referred to as Lebanon, in a way that enhances its future journey in the context of seeking to develop the services and programs provided to members.
The ceremony included a heritage performance presented by Dar Al-Manar members, and then a short film was shown on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the association. The supporters were also honored and a commemorative shield was presented to the sponsor of the ceremony, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, may God protect her, which was received on her behalf by Her Highness Sheikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, in addition to a tour of the accompanying exhibition, which showcased the products of the association’s members.
