The competitions of the seventh edition of the Arab Qawat Al Rami Championship began on Friday at the Khalifa City Sports Hall, with the participation of 12 Arab countries, namely: the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Tunisia, Sudan, and Syria, in a sporting event that brings together the elite Arab fighters in Qawat Al Rami under one roof.
The national team of Quwat Al Rami is participating in this tournament with an administrative and technical delegation that includes the Chairman of the Quwat Al Rami Committee in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Master Sayed Mahmoud Yassin, along with Abdullah Sayed Yassin, Mahmoud Zuhair Issa and Hussein Al Samahiji as coaches and referees, while Muhammad Abdul Amir and Hassan Al Samahiji assume the duties of technical assistants, and Ali Younis and Hussein Hilal as administrators in the team delegation.
As for the list of players, it includes from various categories and weights, and they are: Zayed Ali Al-Mousa in the junior category for the weight of under 35 kg, Ali Ahmed Hassan in the junior category of weight of under 50 kg, Qasim Azhar Daoud in the youth category of weight of under 55 kg, Jassim Muhammad Al-Subaie in the youth category of weight of under 60 kg, Ammar Jawad Al-Jaziri in the men’s category of weight of under 65 kg, and Mahmoud Jaafar Ali and Hussein Ali Daoud in Under 70 kg weight, Mujtaba Muhammad Habib in the under 75 kg weight, Muhammad Imad in the under 80 kg weight, Ali Musa Al Laith in the under 85 kg weight, and Hussein Ali Hussein in the under 95 kg weight, along with Sayed Alawi Al Kamel and Sayed Majeed Mohsen Al Ali, who are participating in the open weight category.
The national team looks forward to presenting an honorable performance that reflects the development of the sport of Quwat Al Rami in the Kingdom, and enhances its distinguished presence on the Arab and international scene.
