Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Speaker of the Shura Council, received today (Wednesday) Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council of the sisterly State of Qatar, and his accompanying delegation, upon their arrival in the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the work of the nineteenth regular meeting of the heads of the Shura, Representatives, National and Nation Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which the Kingdom of Bahrain is hosting during the period from 11 to 13 November.
During the reception, the Speakers of the Shura Council and the House of Representatives welcomed the Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council and the accompanying delegation, stressing the depth of the fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly State of Qatar, in light of the support and interest of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Great King of the country, and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar.
For his part, Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council in the sisterly State of Qatar, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality, praising the distinguished efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in hosting Gulf parliamentary meetings, and its great interest in strengthening joint Gulf action.
