His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, made an inspection visit to a number of service and development projects in the city of Riffa, as part of a series of field visits and inspection tours to follow up on the needs of the people and residents in various regions of the governorate, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Ibrahim Abdul Latif, Chairman of the Municipal Council of the Southern Region, His Excellency Brigadier General Hamad Muhammad Al-Khayyat, Deputy Governor, Engineer Fathi Al-Farea, Assistant Undersecretary for Sanitation at the Ministry of Works, and a number of officials from the Southern Governorate, the Ministry of Works, and the General Administration. His Highness the Governor of the Southern Governorate stressed the governorate’s keenness to follow up on the needs of the people in cooperation with the concerned authorities, by strengthening field communication in all regions to inspect the needs of the people and listen to their suggestions and requirements, noting that His Highness noted that field communication is an essential pillar in the work of the governorate due to its role in closely examining the needs of citizens and determining the quality and level of services provided to them.
Then, His Highness the Governor was briefed on the stages of the most prominent projects to be implemented, within the needs of the people and citizens. His Highness was also briefed on the quality of public facilities and services with regard to road and infrastructure projects, and the stages of work progress for those facilities that contribute to aspects of development and upgrading the service aspect in the region.
The inspection visit included a review of several service sites, including: the project to construct the road linking Al-Hanainiya Street and Al-Maskar Street, and public facilities and event halls in Riffa City, as part of the governorate’s efforts in cooperation and coordination with the concerned authorities to highlight comprehensive and sustainable development in the services provided to the people and residents in all areas of the governorate.
