
Three prominent memorandums of understanding were signed in the Kingdom of Bahrain in conjunction with the King Hamad Justice Forum, the inauguration of the International Commercial Court in the Kingdom of Bahrain in partnership with the Republic of Singapore, and the launch of the Global Justice Bay, in a step that confirms the growing role of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a pivotal center for international legal cooperation.
The notes included the following:
• A memorandum of understanding between the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution and the Bahrain Bar Association, which aims to consolidate cooperation between the two sides in order to develop standards of legal practice and enhance national expertise in the areas of dispute settlement within the Kingdom.
• A memorandum of understanding between the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution and the Singapore Bar Association, opening new horizons for cross-border professional training, organizing joint conferences, exchanging experiences in the areas of professional development and cooperation in international commercial issues between Bahrain and Singapore.
• A memorandum of understanding between the Bahrain Bar Association and the Singapore Bar Association, which seeks to deepen professional exchange and strengthen ties between the legal communities in the two countries, with a special focus on legal innovation, the arts of advocacy, and access to international best practices.
These agreements embody the shared vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Singapore, along with the legal bodies of the two countries, towards consolidating judicial excellence, nurturing the next generation of legal competencies, and building a reliable, modern system for resolving disputes in the Middle East and North Africa region and beyond. The signing ceremony also reflects Bahrain’s ambition to be a bridge for communication in the field of international legal services, by strengthening its partnerships with the most prominent legal institutions around the world, and consolidating its leadership position in the field of commercial justice and international law.
The signing ceremony was organized by the Bahrain Council for International Dispute Settlement, the Bahrain Chamber for International Dispute Resolution and the Gulf of Global Justice.
