The Egyptian Fatwa House said that the seller must legally inform the buyer of the defects in the item being sold, and it is not permissible to conceal them.

Fatwa: The seller must legally inform the buyer of the defects in the item sold, and it is not permissible to conceal them

The fatwa wrote on Facebook: The seller must inform the buyer of the defects of the item sold, and it is not permissible to conceal them. However, if he does not make the defect clear to the buyer and hides it from him, then he is sinful according to Islamic law. According to his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family: “It is not permissible for a Muslim to sell something to his brother that has a defect, unless he explains it to him.” Narrated by Ahmad.

In another context, Dar Al-Iftaa received a question from one of its followers in which she said: I pray the noon and afternoon prayers, and I recite aloud.. Is this permissible? The Fatwa Secretary confirmed that the audible prayers are dawn, sunset, and evening prayers, while noon and afternoon prayers are silent, in which the Qur’an is read secretly without raising the voice, whether to the imam, the person being led in prayer, or the individual.

He pointed out that whoever raises his voice while reciting at noon or afternoon, by mistake or forgetfulness, his prayer is completely valid, and does not require prostration by forgetfulness, because that is one of the forms of prayer and not one of its pillars or duties.

He explained that it is permissible to raise the voice slightly only to the extent that the praying person can hear himself if that helps him focus and humbly or reduces obsessiveness, considering that it is not considered speaking loudly in violation of the Sunnah, but rather a means of evoking the heart.

He also stressed that whoever intentionally recites aloud during a secret prayer has violated the Sunnah, but his prayer is valid and will not be repeated, stressing that the basic principle at noon and afternoon prayer is to recite secretly, following the guidance of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
