The Supreme Council of Universities announced the list of 21 candidates for the position of President of Beni Suef University, after closing the application period before the University Leadership Selection Committee.
This step comes within the framework of the state’s efforts to enhance transparency and efficiency in selecting university leaders to ensure the stability of the educational and research process in regional universities.

The committee is currently examining the files, then receiving the appeals, then the committee meets to decide on them and announce the final list of applicants, on Tuesday the 18th of this month, followed by handing over all the applicants’ papers to the committee members, and conducting interviews. After that, three shortlisted names are submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in preparation for issuing the republican decision to appoint the new president.
The official list, according to data from the Supreme Council of Universities, includes the following candidates:
1 Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shukr Mohamed Nada, Professor at the College of Engineering.
2 Prof. Dr. Al-Hussein Muhammad Abdel-Latif Dahshan, Acting Dean of the College of Applied Health Sciences Technology.
3 Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Muhammad Yahya Hijab, Professor at the College of Science.
4 Prof. Dr. Hanan Abdel Hamid Abdel Hafeez, Professor at the College of Science.
5 Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fathallah Hassan Shawqi, Dean of the College of Dentistry.
6 Prof. Dr. Fatima Hassan Muhammad Ali, Head of the Food Safety and Technology Department, and previously held the position of Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
7 Prof. Dr. Adel Abu Hashima Mahmoud Hassan – Dean of the Faculty of Law.
8 Prof. Dr. Nabil Morsi Hazin, Acting Dean of the College of Science.
9 Prof. Dr. Sabry Mohamed Tamam Mohamed, Professor and Head of the Virology Department at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
10 Prof. Dr. Mahrous Muhammad Ibrahim Ali, supervising the Department of Oriental Languages at the College of Arts.
11 Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Muhammad Mahmoud Al-Batanuni, Head of the Department of Chest Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine.
12 Prof. Dr. Tariq Ali Muhammad, the current acting president of the university.
13 Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Hassan Bakhit, Dean of the College of Engineering.
14 Prof. Dr. Sameh Abdel Fattah Mohamed Abdel Salam, Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University.
15 Prof. Dr. Azza Farouk Abdel Maboud Johari, Dean of the College of Arts.
16 Prof. Dr. Wael Muhammad Hassanein Al-Shaer, Head of the Plastic Surgery Department, Faculty of Medicine.
17 Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Wahab Al-Bandari Al-Bagouri, Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science.
18 Prof. Dr. Abdel Aleem Abdel Wahab, Vice Dean of the College of Law for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
19 Prof. Dr. Abdel Latif Hisham Abdel Latif, Acting Dean of the Institute for Elder Science Studies.
20 Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yasser Sayed Saif El-Din, Dean of the College of Agriculture.
