
Lieutenant General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, made a field visit to the cardiology unit at the Salmaniya Medical Complex, to review the progress of work in the unit and follow up on efforts to develop the specialized services provided to patients in the field of cardiology.
He reviewed the diagnostic and treatment services provided in the unit in accordance with the latest international medical standards, in addition to the training and research programs implemented by the unit within the framework of enhancing the quality of health care and expanding specialized services within government hospitals.
The President of the Supreme Council of Health praised the quality services provided by the Salmaniya Medical Complex in the field of care for heart patients, praising the efficiency and high experience of the national cadres, which contribute to achieving the desired health goals and providing integrated health services in accordance with the highest international standards.
For her part, Dr. Maryam Athbi Al Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals, indicated that the development of the cardiology unit comes within the framework of the ongoing plan to modernize the infrastructure and expand the capacity of the Salmaniya Medical Complex.
She added that the unit is witnessing an expansion in diagnostic and therapeutic services using the latest digital technologies, which contributes to accelerating diagnosis, improving the accuracy of results, and enhancing patients’ experience and the quality of care provided to them.
