His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of Customs Affairs, met with a number of representatives of international companies and institutions, on the sidelines of the Gulf Gateway Forum 2025. During the meeting, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that Customs Affairs is keen to provide various customs facilities to the private sector, which contributes to facilitating the movement of trade and enhancing the flow of goods and services through customs ports, in support of national efforts aimed at achieving sustainable economic development, pointing out Customs is working to develop systems and procedures in line with international best practices to provide a stimulating and attractive commercial environment for investment, thus enhancing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a regional logistics and commercial centre. During the meeting, the facilities provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain for establishing and developing projects were reviewed, in addition to reviewing the programs of international companies and their successful experiences in the field of electronic commerce.
