Dr. Nasser El-Gizawi, President of Benha University, honored the university’s five-a-side football team and the winners for the fourth time in a row with first place and the gold medal in the twentieth Arab five-a-side football championship, which was organized by Qena University during the period from 1 to 6 November on the Olympic Village fields at the university’s headquarters in Qena.
This came in the presence of Dr. Jihan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of the University, Dr. Khaled Issawi, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, and Professor Ibrahim Abdullah, General Director of Youth Welfare at the University.
The President of Benha University congratulated the university team on its athletic excellence, praising its honorable performance during the championship matches, which qualified it to obtain the gold medal and first place.
Dr. Nasser Al-Gizawi stressed that the university is keen to encourage students to practice sporting activities, participate positively in tournaments, and communicate effectively with students at Egyptian universities.
It is worth noting that 15 Egyptian universities, whether governmental, private or private, participated in the tournament: the Ministry of Higher Education, Heliopolis, Banha, Fayoum, Al-Salam, Galala, Banha National, Taiba Technological, Minya National, Aswan, Alexandria, Beni Suef, Hurghada, South Valley National, in addition to Qena University.
