This morning, Thursday, November 5, the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives hosted a delegation of university students trained at the General Traffic Department, as part of an exploratory visit aimed at learning about the nature of parliamentary and legislative work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This visit comes as an affirmation of the House of Representatives’ vision of the necessity of activating cooperation and community partnership with various institutions and official and private bodies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and striving to spread parliamentary culture, by introducing the role played by the House of Representatives as one of the fruits of the reform era and the comprehensive development process of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God protect and preserve him.
During the visit, an introductory presentation was given by the employee, Khaled Al-Badr, Executive Parliamentary Tools Specialist, which included the most important stations of the legislative and parliamentary process in the Kingdom of Bahrain, a brief overview of the establishment of the Parliament and many details related to legislative and oversight work, the mechanism of work of the Council and the permanent and specific committees, in addition to a series of relevant legal and parliamentary information. The delegation also visited the main hall of the session, and employee Manal Saif, an executive technical support specialist at the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives, provided an explanation of the most prominent matters taking place there and the method of managing the session.
