Information and investigations from the General Administration for Investigation of Works and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in the Specialized Police Sector confirmed that the owner of an unlicensed printing press, located in the Ain Shams Police Department in Cairo, printed many commercial publications without authorization from the owners of the material and moral rights, in violation of the law.
Following the legalization of the procedures, the aforementioned printing press was targeted, and its owner was seized with 25,000 commercial publications of various products without obtaining authorization from the competent authorities to violate the law. When confronted, he admitted committing the aforementioned violations with the intention of achieving financial profit.
Legal measures have been taken, and this comes as a continuation of the fight against crimes of infringement of intellectual property rights.
