
The Ministry of Education signed a memorandum of understanding with the British Council to enhance cooperation in the field of learning the English language and supporting government school students by providing facilities for taking the International English Language Skills Test (IELTS), in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, His Excellency Mr. Alistair Long, the British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a number of officials from the Ministry and the Council.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Ms. Nawal Ibrahim Al Khater, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, and Ms. Kate Ewarth Biggs, Executive Vice President of the British Council.
On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Education expressed his thanks and appreciation to the British Council for its fruitful cooperation with the Ministry, stressing the importance of the advantages that this memorandum grants to students about to graduate from secondary school, as it enhances their opportunities to enroll in higher education institutions inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to what it achieves in opening horizons and areas of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the British Council.
