
Rawan bint Najib Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Arab Republic of Egypt, as part of her official visit to the capital, Cairo.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Youth Affairs stressed the depth of the historical relations and close fraternal ties that bring together the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt, praising the continuous growth and development that relations are witnessing at various levels thanks to the generous patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, and in light of the interest given by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad. Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the youth fields.
The Minister of Youth Affairs praised the vision of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, which contributed to the development of Arab and international youth cooperation and His Highness’s directives to strengthen youth relations and launch qualitative joint initiatives between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt in the youth field.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two ministries, and discussed the latest developments in the work of the Bahraini-Egyptian Youth Council, in addition to reviewing the outcomes of the second meeting of the Hope Network and its future initiatives, exchanging experiences in youth fields, and putting forward proposals to adopt joint youth initiatives and programs that serve youth in the two countries.
For his part, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi expressed his appreciation for the established fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, stressing his country’s keenness to expand the horizons of joint cooperation in the youth field, praising the development and prosperity achieved by the youth movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing that the mutual visits represent an important push towards consolidating cooperation and exchanging experiences in a way that achieves the interests of the two brotherly countries in the youth fields.
The Minister of Youth Affairs toured the building of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the Arab Republic of Egypt to review the organizational structure of the Ministry and the tasks of the various departments and divisions. Her Excellency also visited the “Al-Nadi” Club in the New Administrative Capital to learn about the Egyptian experience in developing modern sports and youth facilities, enhancing areas of cooperation and exchanging common experiences.
On the sidelines of the visit, Her Excellency the Minister of Youth Affairs visited the recently opened Grand Egyptian Museum, where she toured the corridors of the museum, which includes integrated exhibition halls that embody the nobility of Egyptian civilization throughout the ages, and displays a distinguished collection of artifacts and historical collectibles that document various stages of ancient Egyptian history.
The Minister of Youth Affairs expressed her sincere congratulations to the leadership, government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the occasion of the opening of this ancient cultural edifice, praising the cultural and humanitarian achievement the museum represents that embodies the depth of Egyptian civilization and its contributions to the history of humanity.
