Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, extended his sincere congratulations to Mahmoud Al-Khatib on the occasion of his winning the presidency of the Al-Ahly Club’s Board of Directors for the new term until 2029, wishing him and the elected members of the Board of Directors all the best and success in leading one of the largest and most prestigious clubs in Egypt and Africa.
The Minister of Youth and Sports indicated his confidence that the new council headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib will continue the path of success and excellence, and contribute to strengthening the position of Al-Ahly Club athletically and socially in keeping with the boom witnessed by Egyptian sports in light of the support and care of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Yesterday evening, Friday, the new Al-Ahly elections were held, which witnessed Mahmoud Al-Khatib winning the presidency of the club for the third consecutive term, continuing his leadership of the Red Castle until the next year 2029.
Mahmoud Al-Khatib achieved 93.15% of the votes to win the presidency of Al-Ahly Club, in addition to the success of his entire list during the new Red Castle elections to elect a new council.
Yassin Mansour, Vice President of Al-Ahly Club, achieved 92.73% of the votes, while Khaled Murtaji received 90.85% of the votes, to assume the position of club treasurer.
Muhammad Al-Jarhi also had the highest number of votes among the candidates for over-age membership seats, after he received 10,110 votes, Sayed Abdel Hafeez 10,092 votes, Muhammad Al-Damati 10,083, Tariq Qandil 10,079, Hazem Hilal 9,949, and Muhammad Al-Ghazawi 9,794 votes.
As for under-age seats, Ibrahim Al-Amri Farouk was the one who received the highest votes, after obtaining 10,216 votes, along with Ruwayda Hisham, who obtained 10,170 votes.
