The Minister of Interior thanks Saif bin Zayed for attending the first field exercise of the coalition countries in Bahrain

Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior, participated today in the sixth meeting of the Interior Ministers of the member states of the International Security Coalition, which was held in Abu Dhabi in the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

During the meeting; The Minister of the Interior gave a speech in which he said:

At the beginning of my speech, I have the honor to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, for His Highness’s keenness and personal attendance at the first field exercise of the countries of the International Security Coalition, which was held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and which was characterized by realism through preparation, preparation and implementation, as it achieved, praise be to God, its goals that were set to confront security challenges in a distinguished and professional manner.

This alliance, which receives the attention and follow-up of His Highness in its training and practical affairs, has proven its efficiency in confronting organized and cross-border crime, and the joint qualitative operations reflected the level of advanced security awareness and high preparedness of the member states.

The recent successes achieved, most notably thwarting attempts to smuggle huge quantities of narcotic drugs, are the result of strong coordination and effective integration between the participating security agencies, and this calls us to do more work to strengthen coordination and cooperation frameworks to preserve the achievements achieved by the coalition.

In conclusion, I affirm the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm position in supporting efforts that contribute to enhancing security and stability, and consolidating the principles of cooperation and integration between brotherly and friendly countries, in order to achieve regional security and international peace.

We also highly value the pioneering role played by the sister country of the United Arab Emirates in leading the international security coalition, and the distinguished initiatives it provides to consolidate joint security work and enhance its efficiency. We ask God Almighty to grant us all success for the good of our countries and peoples, and to perpetuate the blessing of security, security, stability and prosperity to our countries.

At the conclusion of their meeting, Their Highnesses, Excellencies and Excellencies the Ministers of Interior affirmed their continued commitment to strengthening and developing the joint action system, as an integrated model for strategic, technical and field police cooperation under one umbrella, seeking to achieve international security and stability, pointing out the importance of continuing coordination and exchanging experiences and innovative practices in the areas of combating organized crime, addressing emerging security threats, and strengthening the institutional capabilities of member states to keep pace with the accelerating changes in the global security landscape.

In a joint statement, the ministers welcomed the Federal Republic of Brazil’s accession to membership in the Alliance, within the framework of expanding the network of member states to cover various continents of the world, reflecting the strategic openness of the Alliance and its responsiveness to geopolitical developments and emerging challenges that affect the security of societies and changes in crime patterns.

On the sidelines of the meeting of interior ministers of the international security coalition countries; Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, met with His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

The Minister praised the distinguished historical and fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and the mutual keenness to enhance the prospects for security cooperation in various fields.

During the meeting, a number of security topics and issues were discussed, and joint efforts were strengthened to exchange experiences and information within the framework of the international security alliance, in a way that contributes to achieving regional security and stability.

The Minister of Home Affairs also met with His Excellency Kasivaswanthan, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs of the Republic of Singapore.

During the meeting, mechanisms for developing security cooperation between the two countries were discussed, in addition to enhancing coordination and joint work within the framework of establishing a global police structure to combat future security threats.

In the same context, the Minister of Interior met with Mohamed Bamba Cisse, Minister of Interior and Public Security of the Republic of Senegal, where the existing relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries were discussed, especially in the security field, in addition to a number of topics that contribute to developing areas of joint work.

The Minister stressed the importance of continuous communication and exchange of programs and experiences, which contributes to strengthening the police work system and combating crime in all its forms.

The Minister of the Interior also met with Fernando Grande, Minister of the Interior of the Kingdom of Spain.

He praised the bilateral relations between the two countries and the mutual keenness to develop them, while areas of cooperation and joint coordination, and a number of security issues and developments on the regional and international arenas were discussed.
