Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, opened at the Bahrain National Museum today the pavilion of the Gulf Cooperation Council accompanying the summit of Their Majesties and Highnesses, leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, members of the Supreme Council in its forty-sixth session, which will be held under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, in the Kingdom of Bahrain on December 3, 2025 AD.
Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Information, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Ahmed Khalid Al Arifi, CEO of the National Communication Centre, His Excellency Mr. Faisal bin Hareb Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Bahrain, representatives of the embassies of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to the Kingdom, and a number of officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the Bahrain Authority, participated in the opening. Culture and Antiquities Center, and the National Communication Center, along with a number of guests and invitees.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary-General, and the attendees toured the exhibition, which included multiple pavilions covering various areas of the joint Gulf action process, including the founding phase, the statements of the leaders, may God protect and protect them, the organizations and bodies affiliated with the Council, joint Gulf achievements and projects, joint Gulf action paths, political cooperation and strategic dialogue, economic, security, military, social and legislative cooperation, statistical numbers and indicators, in addition to a special pavilion for souvenir photos.
On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the pride of the Kingdom of Bahrain, its leadership and people, in holding the Gulf Summit at its forty-sixth session in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in order to achieve the goals and aspirations of the member states for greater interconnection, cooperation and integration, embodying Gulf citizenship, identity and Gulf achievement, and meeting the hopes of the peoples of the member states towards further progress, development and prosperity.
He said that this distinguished pavilion proudly embodies the achievements of a blessed process sponsored by Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, with their sound guidance and wise vision, stressing that the Cooperation Council, since its establishment forty-four years ago, has become a well-established and effective system at the Gulf, regional and international levels, playing its constructive role on the political, economic, defense, security and humanitarian levels, and establishing the rules and foundations for comprehensive development and economic development, represented by the Gulf common market and electrical interconnection. Railways, infrastructure, transportation, and active Gulf bodies in various development fields.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the General Secretariat team, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, the Authority’s employees, and the relevant team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the good efforts made to organize this distinguished event with its noble goals and aspirations.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council expressed great thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Great King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect and preserve him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, for the great and unlimited support for the blessed path of the Cooperation Council.
He expressed his happiness at the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hosting of the Gulf Cooperation Council pavilion accompanying the 46th Gulf Summit, which aims to introduce the achievements achieved during the blessed march over more than four decades, during which joint Gulf action witnessed great growth, prosperity and development at all levels thanks to the directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the founding leaders of the GCC states – may God have mercy on them – and the current ones, may God protect and take care of them. He also expressed his thanks to His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, for his great support in making this pavilion a success, and to the management of the Bahrain National Museum for welcoming and hosting the pavilion at the museum’s headquarters.
He invited all citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain to visit the pavilion in order to view these achievements, especially since the pavilion is receiving visitors starting today, and for a full month, seven days a week, during which we review the pre-establishment phase and then the founding of the Council in 1981 AD, passing through joint projects and joint Gulf work in various fields, all the way to future projects, as the pavilion presents, across nine areas, more than 40 main titles, and 120 sub-titles in the areas of joint Gulf work. In conclusion, His Excellency the Secretary-General expressed his thanks to the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the employees of the Bahrain National Museum administration for their great efforts and providing all facilities and support to the General Secretariat team of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
