Within the framework of the third edition of the Gulf Gateway Investment Forum 2025, which is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, during a session entitled “Building a Legacy: Investing across Generations and Borders,” interviewed Ms. Lubna Suleiman Al Olayan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Olayan Group.
The session discussed moments from the life of Mrs. Lubna Suleiman Al-Olayan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Olayan Group, during which she focused on the management of family businesses and the transfer of leadership between generations. The session also discussed the evolving role of capital aimed at empowering the new generation of entrepreneurs in supporting sustainable economic development in the region.
In her intervention, Al-Olayan pointed out the importance of employing technology and artificial intelligence, pointing out that benefiting from these technologies in building and developing societies is a positive and fruitful matter, stressing the importance of continuing to work on involving young people in achieving the desired development goals, given their great drive for achievement and work.
Discussions during the session emphasized the importance of future generations in developing family businesses, whose role is not only limited to accelerating economic growth, but also extends to leading social initiatives that contribute to achieving sustainable development.
