Today, Thursday, the second camp for governors kicked off EliteOrganized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) in cooperation with the Egyptian Football Association, and continues until November 23, with the participation of 30 promising referees under the age of 30, including field referees and assistant referees.

The opening of the camp witnessed the presence of Oscar Ruiz, Chairman of the Main Referees Committee, Wajih Ahmed, Vice Chairman of the Committee, Jihad Jarisha and Sayed Murad, members of the Committee, along with Azab Hajjaj, Director of the Committee.
Technical expert Tamer Dari, and Algerian Sherif Nasri, who is in charge of the physical aspect, will lecture at the camp from FIFA.
Oscar Ruiz, Chairman of the Referees Committee, confirmed that Engineer Hani Abu Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, continues his full support for the arbitration system, noting that this support was a major reason for developing the technical and physical programs for referees, and providing the opportunity for young referees to participate in elite camps sponsored by FIFA.
The camp program includes specialized theoretical lectures on penalty kicks, hand touches, contacts and physical competition, in addition to a comprehensive explanation of the new amendments to football law.
The first day also includes a fitness test for the participating referees.
The program includes Video Tests and Offside Tests, in addition to a review of the controversial arbitration cases that have recently taken place in Egyptian League matches, with a focus on the criteria for calculating handballs inside the penalty area, and when the referee allows play to continue.
During the camp, referees will receive a detailed explanation of cases of offside interference and the role of VAR video technology in making decisions, with the morning period being devoted to theoretical lectures, while practical applications and fitness training will be held on the field during the evening period.
