The Capital Governorate Security Committee, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, discussed a number of issues related to strengthening security and traffic measures within the governorate, during its meeting in the presence of a number of representatives of the security departments of the Ministry of Interior.
During the meeting, the committee was briefed on traffic procedures and security precautions in various regions of the governorate, in addition to discussing proposed plans to increase the efficiency of follow-up in vital locations, and solutions aimed at improving the flow of traffic and reducing congestion on high-density roads, in addition to studying ways to regulate random or illegal parking of vehicles.
The committee recommended submitting a package of recommendations to the concerned authorities to study solutions to support field efforts in a way that enhances the quality of life and services provided to citizens and visitors.
The committee also followed up on a briefing on the results of the inspection campaigns on the governorate’s coasts, which included removing violations related to placing barriers, barriers, and wood, and installing closed tents and unlicensed vehicles. These campaigns resulted in the removal of 147 random checkers and abandoned vehicles, as part of the efforts aimed at preserving public order and the civilized appearance of the coasts.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency the Governor praised the efforts of all security departments in performing their duties professionally and efficiently, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the various concerned agencies, and strengthening preventive measures that guarantee the security and safety of citizens and residents, and support societal stability in the governorate.
