This morning, Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, launches the “Our Children’s Eyes, Our Future” initiative, from Othman Bin Affan Primary School in the village of Shablinga, affiliated with the center and city of Banha, at exactly 11 a.m., within the framework of the state’s concern for students’ health and in implementation of the directives of the political leadership on the necessity of providing comprehensive health care for children.
The initiative aims to examine and treat vision problems for primary school students, and to discover cases that need early intervention or free treatment, in cooperation with the Directorate of Health Affairs in Qalyubia and a number of civil society institutions.
The Governor of Qalyubia confirmed that the initiative comes within the framework of the governorate’s plan to pay attention to school health and preserve the health of our students, as they are the future of the nation, noting that early detection of poor vision contributes to improving academic achievement and protects children from future health complications.
The governor thanked the medical teams participating in the initiative, praising their efforts in serving the community, and stressing the continuation of organizing quality health initiatives in the various centers of the governorate in order to achieve the principle of health justice.
