Engineer Abdel Muttalib Emara, Governor of Luxor, held an expanded meeting with the governorate’s executive leadership, to review the readiness of the concerned agencies to ensure the conduct of the electoral process scheduled to be held on Monday and Tuesday, corresponding to November 10 and 11, as part of the ongoing preparations for holding the 2025 House of Representatives elections.
Intensive preparations for the elections
The meeting was attended by Dr. Hisham Abu Zeid, Deputy Governor, Major General Abdullah Ashour, Secretary-General, and Major General Dr. Hisham Al-Shimi, Assistant Secretary-General, along with the heads of centers and cities, the Director of the Technical Office of the Governor, the Director of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network, the Undersecretaries of the Ministries and the Directors of the concerned departments.




Raising the degree of readiness and activating operating rooms
During the meeting, the Governor of Luxor directed to raise the level of maximum preparations in all centers and cities of the governorate, and to ensure the full readiness of electoral headquarters, to ensure that the electoral process proceeds in a safe and orderly atmosphere.
Abdul Muttalib stressed the establishment of a main operations room in the governorate’s general office around the clock, and linking it to sub-operations rooms in centers and cities. To follow up on the electoral situation and deal immediately with any emergency.
Equipping electoral headquarters and facilitating citizen participation
He also directed the necessity of field visits to all electoral headquarters and ensuring their readiness and the surrounding places, while intensifying public cleaning work and preserving the civilized appearance of the governorate.



He stressed the preparation of lighting poles in front of the headquarters, the placement of umbrellas and ventilation means, and the provision of wheelchairs for people of determination and the elderly, to ensure facilitation of citizens’ participation in the electoral process.
He also stressed full commitment to security and safety procedures within the committees, and continuous coordination with the relevant agencies to ensure the efficient conduct of the elections.
