Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, confirmed that the Bahariya Oasis possesses unique agricultural and industrial components that make it capable of being a distinguished production center in the fields of agricultural manufacturing, noting the state’s keenness to support projects that contribute to achieving sustainable development and strengthening the local economy.
This came during the Governor’s inspection tour of the production lines at one of the date and olive oil packing and packaging factories in the Bahariya Oasis Center, accompanied by Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharqia, where they were briefed on the production lines and operating mechanisms inside the factory and the stages of manufacturing dates and olives, starting with sorting and drying, all the way to packaging and marketing.

The two governors listened to a detailed explanation from those in charge of the factory about the work system, the latest technologies used in packaging, and the quality of the final product. They praised the level of operational efficiency and production quality, which reflects the experience, human potential, and unique natural ingredients that characterize Bahariya Oasis.
Al-Najjar stressed that the governorate pays great attention to supporting industries based on agricultural production, especially dates and olives, which contributes to maximizing the added value of these crops, opening new horizons for export and attracting investments.
He also stressed the importance of applying quality and food safety standards and using the latest production systems in order to enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian product in local and global markets, noting that the state continues to support small and medium industries that provide real job opportunities for the people of the Bahariya Oasis.
