The ambassador was briefed on the system for the entry of humanitarian aid trucks provided to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, where the trucks are pushed from a side gate at the crossing to the Kerem Shalom crossing to be unloaded, and then the competent Palestinian authorities are responsible for receiving them.

Major General Khaled Mujawar, Governor of North Sinai, confirmed that the comprehensive system management of the crisis has been continuing since October 7, 2023 until now on all routes, including receiving aid by land, sea and air, delivering it, and receiving injured Palestinians through the Rafah land crossing under the full supervision of the Ministry of Health and Population.

The governor pointed out that the Rafah land crossing has not been closed permanently, as it is designated to receive individuals, and that its opening on the Palestinian side is in implementation of the terms of the ceasefire agreement to receive the injured, sick, and other categories of Palestinians.

The German ambassador, for his part, appreciated the Egyptian efforts that contributed to reaching a ceasefire and consolidating the agreement, as well as the efforts to deliver humanitarian aid and receive injured Palestinians, according to what he saw during his visit to the logistical warehouses, Al-Arish General Hospital, and the Rafah land crossing.
