The General Assembly of the Association of Travel and Tourism Offices elects a new Board of Directors for the Association

On Monday, November 3, 2025, the Bahrain Travel and Tourism Offices Association held its annual general assembly meeting in the Awal Hall of the Gulf Hotel, where a number of topics on the agenda were discussed, most notably the election of a new board of directors for the association.

The meeting began with a speech by the former Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, Mr. Jihad Amin, in which he welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of this meeting in strengthening the Association’s role in supporting travel and tourism offices, praising the cooperation of the members of the General Assembly for their cooperation with the Board of Directors during the past period.

The agenda included the approval of the literary and financial reports for the past two years, in addition to a review of some future activities and programmes.

After that, elections were held for the association’s new board of directors, where the number of candidates reached 9 members, and the elections resulted in the victory of 7 candidates: Fatima Ahmed, Charan Deep Singh, Abel Al-Khayyat, Haifa Aoun, Hamad Ibrahim Amin, Muhammad Badr Kikso, and Mona Sayed Adnan, in addition to Muhammad Salah Al-Murshid, a senior reserve member.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the former Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, Mr. Jihad Amin, congratulated the members of the new Board of Directors, and affirmed his full support for the elected Board.

Amin said: “I would like to congratulate the new members on their election and assure them that they have a great responsibility in supporting and developing the travel and tourism office sector in Bahrain. I am confident that their experiences and visions will contribute to enhancing the association’s efforts and achieving the desired goals.”

He added: “I will continue to support the new council and the strengthening of cooperation between travel and tourism offices and the association, as the success of the association depends on concerted efforts and the exchange of ideas among all members.”

Amin stressed the importance of continuing to develop programs and initiatives that contribute to developing the performance of travel and tourism offices and enhance their continuity amid the many and great challenges they face.
