His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed that the expansion of development projects in various sectors that the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing reflects the continuous successes it has achieved in its comprehensive development journey under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country. His Highness pointed to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continued visions and programs aimed at developing the economic infrastructure and providing supportive facilities to attract investments, thus enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a preferred destination. To invest, achieve sustainable development, and support paths of progress and development.
This came when His Highness today sponsored the opening ceremony of the second phase of the expansion project of The Avenues Mall – Bahrain, in the presence of a number of senior officials, where His Highness toured the complex, and was briefed on its modern facilities and architectural designs that combine modernity and originality, and reflect the distinctive architectural character of the identity of the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Highness praised the efforts of those in charge of implementing the project and the achievement achieved that is a qualitative addition to the development projects that enhance the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Highness added that the major development projects witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in various sectors embody its ambitious vision towards promoting sustainable economic growth and creating more promising qualitative opportunities for the people of the country, which contributes to consolidating the Kingdom’s position as an attractive center for investment and business. His Highness stressed that the successes achieved are a reflection of the effective partnership with the private sector, which has proven its pivotal role in supporting the comprehensive development process and consolidating the foundations of an economy based on diversification, innovation and sustainability.
His Highness pointed out the importance of continuing to work to develop the national economy through implementing innovative economic policies that enhance the attraction of quality investments and support the spirit of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship. His Highness stressed the importance of expanding the horizons of trade and economic cooperation at the regional and international levels in a way that contributes to achieving further progress and prosperity.
His Highness said that the achievements achieved to date embody the spirit of the people of Bahrain, which knows no limits to its ambitions, and we affirm that these achievements are not an arrival point, but rather a stepping stone towards a more prosperous and pioneering phase, in which the Kingdom is moving forward with confident steps towards a future in which ambitions are renewed and efforts are fruitful, based on the determination of its people and their belief in their ability to transform challenges into achievements that paint the image of a brighter homeland.
It is worth noting that the second phase of the expansion project of The Avenues Mall – Bahrain represents a qualitative leap in the size and diversity of the facilities provided by the complex, as it added a new rental area amounting to 40 thousand square meters, bringing the total rental area to 80 thousand square meters. The expansion includes 244 commercial units and new entertainment areas, including an ice skating rink and a modern supermarket, in addition to basement parking for about 1,300 vehicles.
The western expansion also included distinctive areas such as the Forum, Grand Plaza, Electra, and the Market, which reflect modern designs that give visitors an integrated shopping and entertainment experience. 600 meters have also been added to the sea promenade, bringing it to 1.3 kilometers in length, enhancing the complex’s position as the largest waterfront shopping and entertainment destination in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
