The Labor Fund “Tamkeen” announced the launch of a skills report in the field of human resources, within the “Bahrain Skills” initiative, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance professional skills, raise the efficiency and productivity of the Bahraini workforce, and enhance its role in supporting economic growth.
The report reviews the qualitative transformations taking place in the field of human resources at the local and global levels, driven by the accelerating pace of digital transformation and changing workforce expectations. It also highlights the importance of integrating modern technology in improving the efficiency of human resources operations and enhancing productivity and interaction in the work environment, such as using artificial intelligence techniques to scan CVs, setting employment standards, and “Software as a Service” platforms in the areas of recruitment, performance management and benefits.
The report, which was prepared in cooperation with representatives of the private sector and concerned parties, also touched on the most prominent jobs required such as compensation and benefits manager, training and development specialist, and organizational design and development specialist, in addition to the most important technical skills required such as data analysis, policy formulation, and organizational development for institutions, in addition to the basic skills that support success in this field such as adaptation, communication, empathy, initiative, and digital knowledge.
For his part, Mr. Amer Marhoon, Director General of Skills Bahrain, stressed the importance of this report in supporting the development of human capital, noting that “the insights drawn will contribute to directing Tamkeen programs towards bridging skill gaps, to enhance the ability of national competencies to keep pace with future changes in this field.” He added, “The field of human resources is witnessing a rapid development that requires the adoption of innovative practices based on technology and data analysis, to ensure the ability of organizations to compete in an ever-changing labor market.”
