Representative Mounir Ibrahim Surour, a member of the Parliamentary Division delegation participating in the International Parliamentary Forum and the Second World Summit in Doha, confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is characterized by a pioneering experience in the field of integrated social policies, through specific programs and civilized legislation, under the high royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him.
Representative Munir Sorour added that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to develop social services, through care, development, rehabilitation and protection for the deserving, from all segments of Bahraini society, especially the most needy groups such as people with disabilities, the elderly, children and the low-income.
He explained that the legislative authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain continues its efforts to enact laws supporting the improvement of social services, support and care for deserving groups, and their integration into society, praising the role of the private sector and civil society institutions in raising the level of social development and enhancing community partnership.
This came during the participation of the Parliamentary Division delegation, headed by His Excellency Mr. Talal Mohammed Al Mannai, Vice Chairman of the Services Committee of the Shura Council, and the membership of His Excellency MP Mounir Ibrahim Sorour, Member of the Services Committee of the House of Representatives, in the Parliamentary Forum, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and the Second World Summit for Social Development, which continues its work in the capital, Doha, in the sisterly State of Qatar.
