Her Excellency Mrs. Karima Mohammed Al-Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, announced that 10 projects qualified for the final stage of the Digital Innovation in Parliamentary Work Competition, which the General Secretariat launched to coincide with this year’s Bahraini Youth Day, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Bahrain College of Technology (Bahrain Polytechnic). The Secretary-General of the Shura Council indicated that the competition, since its launch on March 25 of this year, has attracted 48 applications for participation from individuals and groups, which went through several stages of evaluation, including It ensures the selection of qualitative entries with a digital impact according to the announced standards, as 35 innovative digital projects passed the first stages, which included direct meetings with the sponsors of these projects, while the ten finalists for the final stage of the competition were selected by a jury that includes specialists from the General Secretariat of the Shura Council and the Ministry of Youth Affairs, in cooperation with institutions from the private sector, while the winners of the first three places will be announced in the coming period. On this occasion, the Secretary-General of the Shura Council confirmed that the competition represents one of the qualitative paths in supporting the Council’s orientations towards digital transformation, and it emerges from the royal visions that support investing in youth, stimulating their creativity and innovation in science, knowledge and modern and future technologies, as well as enhancing the uses of artificial intelligence and employing modern technologies in institutional work, noting that the competition reflects the support of the Shura Council, headed by His Excellency Mr. It is in line with the goals of sustainable development and the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. Al-Abbasi added that the General Secretariat of the Shura Council continues to adopt innovative initiatives and projects that contribute to developing the institutional work environment and raising its efficiency in cooperation and partnership with various relevant institutions, stressing that the competition contributed to the discovery of promising young energies and pioneering digital ideas capable of making a tangible impact on the future of parliamentary work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
