A French court granted former French President Nicolas Sarkozy early release, according to what Reuters reported.
Sarkozy is scheduled to leave prison in Paris later today, after serving part of his sentence on charges related to corruption and abuse of influence.
Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy was placed in La Santé prison, where he will serve a five-year prison sentence on charges of conspiring to collect money from Libya to finance his 2007 election campaign.
Sarkozy, who held the presidency between 2007 and 2012, became the first former French president to be imprisoned since Marshal Philippe Pétain.
