The Public Utilities and Environment Committee of the House of Representatives held its meeting this morning, headed by Representative Mohamed Musa Mohamed, Chairman of the Committee.
During the meeting, the committee discussed the proposal for a law to add a new article No. (2 bis) to Law No. (49) of 2014 regarding mail, and after the discussion, the committee proposed an amended wording regarding it.
The committee then discussed the following:
1- The proposal to establish two pedestrian bridges serving the Galali and Muharraq areas, and the committee decided to approve it.
2- The proposal was made regarding the development of waterfronts in Muharraq Governorate, and the committee decided to approve it.
Under any other business, the committee discussed the following:
1- The proposal to increase the number of housing apartments allocated to the fifth category “divorced, abandoned, widowed or single women” referred to in Article 4 of Resolution No. 909 of 2015 regarding the housing system, and the committee decided to approve it.
2- The proposal with a desire to establish a “National Oasis for Agriculture and Innovation” by allocating government lands for model agricultural projects for citizens, using treated water in a way that contributes to preserving the agricultural heritage and Bahraini national identity, and the committee decided to approve it.
3- Proposing a law regulating the possession of dangerous animals, and the committee decided to reject the proposal due to the existence of a draft law with the same objectives
It is worth noting that the Public Utilities and Environment Committee during the fourth session of the sixth legislative term included in its membership all of the representatives: Representative Muhammad Musa Muhammad as Chairman, Representative Muhammad Hussein Janahi as Vice-Chairman, Representative Khaled Saleh Bu Anq, Representative Hisham Abdel Aziz Al-Awadi, Representative Badr Saleh Al-Tamimi, Representative Hanan Muhammad Ali, and Representative Hamad Farouk Al-Dawi.
