Nibras Taleb, CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, met with Anwar Murad, Executive Vice President of Banking Services at Al Salam Bank, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
During the meeting, the CEO expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by Al Salam Bank in supporting strategic national projects, most notably the Wage Protection System, which enables employers to pay workers’ wages electronically through a unified and facilitated platform, which contributes to enhancing the protection of national workers’ rights and supporting the stability of the work environment in the Kingdom.
He pointed out that Al Salam Bank is one of the first banks to complete the harmonization of its systems with the wage protection system, praising this cooperation, which reflects the banking sector’s commitment to contributing to the stability of the labor market and enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy.
The meeting also discussed a number of areas of cooperation and projects of common interest, especially initiatives that support the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in maintaining its leadership in the field of combating trafficking in persons, and enhancing its regional and international position as a safe and attractive work environment for investments.
For his part, Anwar Murad expressed his appreciation for the existing cooperation with the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, stressing Al Salam Bank’s commitment to supporting government efforts aimed at developing systems and services that contribute to the development and sustainability of the work environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
