The General Authority of Meteorology announced that tomorrow, Thursday, November 13, the country will be exposed to a state of instability in weather conditions in areas of the north of the country, accompanied by a drop in temperatures in most parts, and chances of rain of varying intensity extending to Greater Cairo in the evening.
Tomorrow’s weather
The General Authority of Meteorology explained in a statement that the expected maximum temperatures will be between 24 and 25 degrees Celsius in Cairo and Lower Egypt, and between 23 and 25 degrees on the northern coasts, and 25 to 27 degrees in northern Upper Egypt, while it will record 30 to 31 degrees in southern Upper Egypt.
She added that the chances of moderate to heavy rain, sometimes thundery, extend to areas of Matrouh, Al-Alamein, Alexandria, Beheira, and Kafr El-Sheikh, reaching Dakahlia, Damietta, and Port Said in the evening, while light to moderate rain is expected to fall in areas of Gharbia, Menoufia, and Sharqia, and light rain in Greater Cairo and the Canal cities.
Meteorology warns of tomorrow’s weather
Meteorology advised citizens to follow the following:
- Avoid standing under tall trees and billboards.
- Do not touch lighting poles.
- Stay away from glass windows and metal doors during thunderstorms.
- Being inside any residential building during rain.
- Be careful when driving a car during rain, slow down, turn on the lights, and leave a distance between one car and another.
The authority also warned of the formation of dense water mist in the early hours of the morning, from 4 to 9 a.m., on the roads leading to and from the north of the country and even northern Upper Egypt and central Sinai, which may limit horizontal visibility.
Meteorology confirmed that thunderclouds may be accompanied by 30% hailstones and strong downward wind activity, stirring up sand and dust.
