Actress Manal Abdel Latif took legal action against a number of social media pages, after publishing content that included delving into her private life and defaming her after she appeared without the hijab at a celebration.

Lawyer Heidi Fadali, defending the artist Manal Abdel Latif, filed a complaint against those in charge of those pages, accusing her of publishing offensive allegations that affect her client’s reputation and privacy, stressing that what was circulated constitutes a crime of defamation and is punishable by law.
The defense lawyer indicated that the pages in question deliberately published content that included an attack on the personal life of the artist Manal Abdel Latif, in an attempt to achieve views at the expense of her reputation, stressing that all measures were taken to ensure that those responsible for these allegations are held accountable.
