His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, stressed the importance of continuing to work on implementing development plans and programs that contribute to moving forward the horse racing sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which contributes to strengthening the Kingdom’s competitive position at various levels. His Highness pointed out that the continuous development witnessed by the horse racing sector reflects the great support that this sport enjoys from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al. Khalifa, the country’s great king, and the continuous directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance the role of this sector in order to achieve the desired aspirations.
His Highness pointed out that with the start of the horse racing season (2025-2026), the spirit of enthusiasm and competition is renewed, and determination and determination rise to continue efforts to present a distinguished season that reflects the leading position of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the international horse racing map, which contributes to consolidating its position as a distinguished destination in hosting and organizing horse races at the regional and international levels. His Highness wished all participants success, and all members of the Rashid Equestrian Club. Horse racing will continue to achieve and achieve desired aspirations.
This came during His Highness’s presidency of the meeting of the Supreme Authority of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, where the authority was briefed on the progress of work in implementing a number of projects included within the club’s general development plan, which included developing the main platform, and constructing new main roads and streets, as part of the club’s plans to create an ideal environment for participants and the public, keeping pace with the development witnessed by the horse racing sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and contributing to enhancing the successes achieved in terms of organizing and hosting local and international championships.
On the occasion of the club’s organization of the seventh edition of the Bahrain International Cup Race, scheduled to be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, the Supreme Authority reviewed the ongoing preparations and organizational arrangements for this important international event, in order to raise organizational performance by harnessing all capabilities and resources that contribute to achieving the desired success of this international event in order to ensure the continuation of the organizational successes achieved in previous editions, and to enhance the competitive position of the Bahrain International Cup Race on the map of prominent international races.
During the meeting, mechanisms for enhancing investment opportunities that support achieving financial sustainability and enhancing the club’s ability to implement various future plans and projects, and developments in regulatory affairs, were reviewed.
