The security services at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of a video clip that was circulated on social media sites, in which two people appear to be assaulting workers in one of the local units and preventing them from carrying out paving work on a street in Sohag.
Upon examination, it was found that on November 1 of this year, the Dar es Salaam Police Station was notified by (a local unit official) that it had been affected by an attack by a person and his son, residing in the center’s district, on workers while they were carrying out paving work on a street and blocking the path of the loader, by placing a tent on top of their vegetable and fruit mats protruding on the sidewalk and refusing to raise it because it was obstructing the paving work. The violations were removed and the work was completed.
The perpetrators of the incident were arrested at the time and when they were confronted, they confessed to having committed the incident as referred to, and legal measures were taken.
