The Ministry of Interior adopted an integrated security plan in which all sectors participate, ensuring the imposition of a tight security umbrella to secure citizens as they cast their votes during the electoral process. The plan included harnessing all energies and logistical capabilities, modern and advanced equipment and vehicles that reflect the great development in the security work system.
Securing the 2025 House of Representatives elections
The plan included intensive security deployment in the vicinity of the polls and all the roads and axes leading to them, and the deployment of security guards and traffic services to direct traffic on those roads to facilitate voters’ access to the polling stations. The insurance plan extends to protect important and vital facilities, the spread of security outposts and guards, and the deployment of rapid intervention and deployment forces and female police officers, to immediately deal with all emergency situations to maintain security and order, as well as intensifying the security presence at subway and railway stations. And the positions that witness a high turnout from citizens during the election period.
Security services are linked to the operations rooms of the security directorates, and the Security Operations Center at the Ministry of Interior monitors the security situation in all governorates around the clock, and follows up the spread of security services and dealing with any emergency in coordination with the operations rooms of the security directorates.
For their part, security directors, security leaders, and supervisory levels in all governorates were keen to visit the forces participating in the security operations, to ensure their readiness to carry out the tasks entrusted to them with the utmost precision and discipline, and to stress the importance of committing to good treatment of citizens during the implementation of the axes of the security plan, and taking into account the human dimension, especially with the elderly and people with special needs.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed the continuation of efforts and the mobilization of all energies to secure citizens in various national events, and to maintain a safe environment for the conduct of the electoral process, without disturbing the law and order, and calls on everyone to adhere to security instructions and cooperate with the police to implement insurance plans with precision and perfection.
