Investigations into the incident of the killing of a woman at the hands of her son in the Ezbet Al-Arab Bahtim area in Shubra Al-Kheima, Qalyubia Governorate, revealed new details provided by the accused during his interrogation before the investigating authorities.
The accused, Ibrahim, 18 years old, said in his confessions: I love my mother and I did not intend to kill her. On the day of the accident, I was holding a birdshot to play with, and suddenly a bullet went out by mistake from behind, hitting her halfway in the face in the face, and I went out into the street, astonished at how I had killed my mother.
He added that he had previously been arrested in a drug case, and his mother visited him constantly and stood by him until he left, noting that his father had died and he had 3 younger brothers whom his mother was taking care of alone.
The examination revealed that the mother died from a gunshot wound to the middle of the head and face, accidentally fired by her son while playing with an unlicensed firearm.
The weapon used was seized, and the accused was arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution, which ordered his detention for 4 days pending investigations, and ordered an autopsy to be performed to determine the cause of death and to complete the investigations.
The Nazlet Bahtim area in Ezbet Al-Arab in the city of Shubra Al-Kheima in Qalyubia Governorate witnessed the death of a woman named Fatima Abdullah by a stray gunshot fired by her son while he was tampering with his weapon inside the house.
The security services of the Qalyubia Security Directorate received notification of the incident, and ambulances and police moved to the location of the report, and it was found that the body was found with a gunshot wound to the face.
Initial investigations indicated that the incident occurred while the son was cleaning his firearm, which resulted in a bullet being discharged, wounding his mother and killing her instantly.
The competent authorities came to inspect the scene of the accident and remove the body, and it was transferred to the morgue at their disposal, while the security services continue their efforts to complete investigations and reveal the details of the incident.
