His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, held a meeting at Sakhir Palace today with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim bin the late Sultan Iskandar, King of the sisterly Kingdom of Malaysia, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, and their Highnesses and Excellencies, members of the Royal Family Council, and members of the two delegations.
His Majesty the King, may God protect him, welcomed the country’s honorable guest and his visit to the Kingdom, which expresses the excellence of the growing bilateral relations between the two countries and the constructive joint work for the benefit of their two brotherly peoples, while His Majesty the King of Malaysia expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for the warm reception and generous hospitality he received.
Their Majesties reviewed the development of close strategic relations and opportunities for cooperation in various fields, and the prospects for strengthening and developing them in a way that achieves mutual benefit and supports the path of development and prosperity in the two countries, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international issues and developments of common interest.
The two sides affirmed their keenness to continue advancing bilateral cooperation paths, given that the two countries possess many capabilities and capabilities to build fruitful partnerships in various vital fields to achieve their common aspirations.
During the meeting, His Majesty the King, may God support him, stressed the great importance that the Kingdom of Bahrain attaches to strengthening its close relations with the Kingdom of Malaysia, and raising them to broader levels for the benefit and development of their people.
His Majesty praised Malaysia’s successful and distinguished experience at the economic, industrial and development levels, which strengthened its position as a leading country on the Asian and global levels, wishing its brotherly people continued progress and advancement.
The two sides also affirmed the two countries’ support for all efforts aimed at establishing the foundations of regional and international security, stability and peace.
