A medical source revealed the details of an incident that took place in the Suez Governorate, after announcing the death of a young man as a result of his injuries in a fire in his home in the city of Martyrs, before it later became clear that he was still alive and in a very critical condition.
The source told Cairo 24: The injured person, named Mohamed Ezz El-Din, was transferred to the Suez Medical Complex with severe burns, and his death was announced, before the medical examination revealed that he was still alive, and was undergoing treatment in intensive care in a critical condition.
The source explained that the injured person’s son died as a result of his injuries in the same fire, and his body was deposited in the Suez morgue at the disposal of the investigation authorities.
The security services in the Suez Governorate had received a report two days ago stating that a fire had broken out inside one of the residential units in the city of Martyrs. Immediately, civil protection fire engines were dispatched and were able to control the fire.
The initial inspection revealed that the young man was inside the house with his son, and the two suffered severe burns before they were taken to the hospital, while the son died of his injuries.
The criminal investigation services in Suez are currently conducting extensive investigations to determine the circumstances of the fire and determine whether or not there is criminal suspicion in the incident.
