His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, mourned Osama Ahmed Al Shafar. His Highness said on the “X” platform: “We extend our sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the honorable Al-Shafar family on the passing of Osama Ahmed Al-Shafar, asking the Almighty God to cover him with His vast mercy and forgiveness, and to inspire his family and relatives patience and solace.” Osama Al-Shafar, former member of the Federal National Council, businessman and president of the Asian Cycling Federation, passed away following a painful accident in Kazakhstan. Born in 1974, Al Shafar held several sports positions, including president of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, then president of the federation.
