Today, the Directorate of Supply in Gharbia Governorate launched an intensive monitoring campaign on a number of shops and restaurants in the city of Mahalla al-Kubra, as part of its efforts to control markets and protect the health of citizens from spoiled goods that are not fit for human consumption.

During the campaign carried out by the Bandar Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra Supply Department in the Abu Shaheen area, supply inspectors were able to seize quantities of expired sausage inside one of the famous restaurants in the area, as it was found that the seized items were not fit for human consumption, which poses a threat to the health of citizens and is a clear violation of the applicable health laws and requirements.
The Supply Directorate in Gharbia received a notification stating that there were violations inside a famous restaurant in Mahalla. The inspection campaign immediately moved to the location of the report, and the seized items were examined and confirmed to have expired. The concerned authorities recorded the seized quantities and documented them in the necessary records, in preparation for taking legal measures regarding the violation and referring the restaurant’s owners for investigation.
The Gharbia Supply Directorate confirmed the continued implementation of control campaigns on a daily and sudden basis, in order to limit the circulation of spoiled goods and confront any attempt to tamper with the health of citizens or violate the laws regulating the circulation of food, stressing that violators will not be tolerated.
