The world’s eyes are turning to the Kingdom of Bahrain on Friday, specifically to the Khalifa City Sports Hall, which is hosting the competitions of the centenary edition of the BRAVE 100 Championship, with the participation of an elite group of the most prominent international names in the world of sports, martial arts, and media and entertainment stars.

The BRAVE 100 Championship will witness a series of fiery fights that bring together elite fighters, led by the main fight for the world bantamweight title between champion Borislav Nikolic and Bahraini fighter Hamza Al Kooheji in a historic confrontation that fans of the game are waiting for. The tournament also includes a fight for the flyweight title between international star Muhammad Mukayev and fighter Gerard Burns, in addition to a series of other strong fights that include the participation of the most prominent Arab and international fighters, men and women.

This historic event is attended as guests of honor by a group of prominent figures, led by the legendary Dutch fighter Alistair Overeem, the Russian fighter Ikram Aliskerov, and international actor Cliff Standen, along with the well-known comedian Steve the Madman and Kevin Stevens.

Participating among combat sports stars are Anshul Jubeli, Vidal Riley, Egyptian wrestler Mahmoud Subaie, Chechen fighter Rustam Khabilov, former British champion Karl Farrukh, and Saudi fighter Abdullah Al-Qahtani, along with Lithuanian champion Pavel Delydko and Russian fighter Shamil Gaziev.

To add more diversity and stardom, star Uwais Yaqoub and DJ Bliss will also join, completing a distinguished panel of international attendees that reflects Bahrain’s position in hosting the most prominent international sporting events.

The centenary edition of BRAVE CF represents more than just a sporting event; It is a global celebration of the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of mixed martial arts, and a clear translation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in making sport a bridge of communication between peoples and enhancing the international standing of the Kingdom, amid wide public and media anticipation confirming that Manama will be on “Friday” with a night of enthusiasm, excitement and history.

Canceling the fight for the interim super-middleweight title

The failure of the Lebanese fighter, Mohamed Fakhreddine, to attend the official weigh-in examination, led to the cancellation of the fight between him and the fighter, Alex Lohori, for the interim super-middleweight title. Lohori successfully passed the official weigh-in examination, thus being awarded the financial reward for the anticipated fight between the two fighters.
