The Ministry of Endowments announced that the topic of today’s Friday sermon is “Would you please open his heart?” and said that the aim of this sermon is to raise awareness of human rights as recognized by Islam, and the impact of this in confronting extremism, with the second sermon being entitled: (The Danger of Bribery) within the “Correct Your Concepts” initiative.
The Ministry of Endowments stressed that imams must adhere to the topic of the sermon, in text or content at the very least, and that the time of the sermon should not exceed 15 minutes, to be between ten and fifteen minutes for the first and second sermons together as a maximum, while emphasizing that eloquence is brevity.
She stressed that it is better for the preacher to end his sermon while people are longing for more than for him to prolong it and become bored, and there is plenty of room in lessons, seminars, and intellectual forums.
