Major General Dr. Muhammad Al-Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, on Wednesday evening, intensified service discipline at the level of local rural units, and issued a decision obliging village heads to be present at their workplaces during the evening period on Sunday and Wednesday of each week, in addition to the morning period, in order to ensure the speedy fulfillment of the interests of the people and the facilitation of their daily requirements within the villages.
Measuring the regularity of attendance and the level of response to citizens’ demands
Al-Zamlot explained that the administrative presence in two shifts aims to accommodate the pressure on services, especially for employees, workers, and self-employed people who are unable to come in the morning. It was also confirmed that clear attendance schedules should be prepared, announced to citizens inside the headquarters of the village units and on the official pages, while providing channels for receiving complaints and requests in the two periods to ensure speedy decision-making and response.
The governor stressed the assignment of inspection and follow-up in the governorate and centers with sudden visits during the two periods. To measure the regularity of attendance and the level of response to citizens’ demands, periodic evaluation reports will be prepared and presented to the governorate’s general office. An alert has also been made to activate electronic and manual attendance and departure books, and link them to a hotline designated to receive citizens’ complaints and track their path until resolution.
